XYRON™ Modified PPE Grades Overview

XYRON™ is the brand name of Asahi Kasei’s mPPE (modified polyphenylene ether). It is an engineering plastic with unique properties, created by alloy combinations of PPE with other resins such as polystyrene (PS), polyamide (PA), polypropylene (PP), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) or other polymeric materials. Due to the blending and the incorporation of fillers such as glass fibers, the properties can be extensively modified in a targeted manner.

Because of the almost uncountable variation possibilities in the production of mPPE, it is frequently the case that the material is custom-made developed for specific applications according to the needs of the customer, so that in the end all the desired properties are realized.
